Kate did a WONDERFUL job with my hair! I was nervous about my undercut but she was very patient. Listened to everything I told her and was careful to get my opinion before making any cuts. Had a balayage and trim done and am very happy with the results. The salon was also lovely, had a very cozy atmosphere and everyone was friendly, reasonably priced services. Will be back.

This was my first hair cut in such a long time due to poor experiences in the past with my curly hair and the expectation I should know exactly what I want. And hey, I got fairly decent on giving myself a tipsy haircut. Flophouse and, Ann in specific, were just amazing and I wanted to leave a review to encourage others who might be nervous or anxious about booking. Ann took time and effort to talk me through what various styles would look on me and when I decided on doing a mullet, took more time to stop cutting to show me how my hair looked and assessed if I wanted more and my comfort level. This was clearly to help me avoid being surprised or feel like I didn’t actually want what I asked for. Beyond the haircut itself, this place has a fantastic vibe. Multiple times in my visit the other people in the chairs started talking to each other or someone would give someone a compliment on their new hair. As someone who has always been low key intimidated by the salon environment, this was so comforting and just nice. I would absolutely recommend Flophosue and Ann!

Going through cancer treatment, I don’t have much hair to work with. Ann took great care of me and made me feel beautiful with the cut and color she gave me. I have received so many compliments, people even thinking my hair had grown out because my haircut was so flattering. I will continue going to see Ann at Palace Flophouse Salon!
